My services
History is full of stories that want to be told. I dig them up, unravel them, and write them in a way that sticks. From well-known resistance heroines to dust-speckled archives: nothing is too complex to put on paper clearly and compellingly.
Research
I am available for all kinds of (cultural) historical research. From museum texts to commemorative books, anything that carries a history I can look into and work up into a final product in a clear way.
The final product can take many forms. I have experience writing articles, chapters, museum texts, scripts and much more. Together we can look for the best solution to your historical question.

Writing
I am also available for other kinds of writing. Thanks to my background in historical research, I am able to summarise many kinds of information in a responsible, engaging way, without the use of artificial intelligence.
Are you looking for someone who can put your thoughts into words better than you can yourself? Then get in touch with me.
Speaking
Words are not only for paper. As a historian I am available to give lectures, talks or presentations, and I am also able to act as a chair for your event. These talks can cover a wide range of (cultural) historical subjects, such as the history of sex toys, the history of sex education in the Netherlands, or a talk on why, from a historical point of view, Hollywood blondes are regarded as dumb.
In short, anything is possible. Get in touch with me to discuss the options!
What does a collaboration look like?
- 1
First contact
You get in touch with me about your project. That can be through this site or through the contact details at the bottom. Together we talk about the final form of the end product and discuss the costs.
- 2
Project plan and quote
Following our conversations, I come up with a suitable project plan, the costs involved, and the final form in which we will write history together.
- 3
Research and the real work
Once the quote is approved, I get to work on the assignment. This takes many forms: I go into the archive, I track something down for you, or I dive into the books. Afterwards I work it up in the agreed way, so that you get something out of it too!

A successful collaboration!
Together we have made something beautiful! This may well be the nicest step of the whole process: enjoying the final product!
Together we can Write history.
